It started with Paul (Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya) sitting on top of a sand dune. Paul tells her that everywhere she sees sand, to imagine water. Water so deep you can’t even touch the bottom. The water you will be immersed in. She says she doesn’t believe him, but he says it’s called swimming. You can see that they are interconnected.
A voiceover by Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh) tells of the deepest secrets of the planet Arrakis, but this one is the biggest of them all. This is what happened to end House Atreides. “What if Paul is still alive?” she asks. Well, it is. All of this takes place over a series of shots with very different images. One shot is Austin Butler’s character, Fed Ruta Harkonnen, a snow-white-skinned, hairless assassin. His scenes seem to appear almost entirely in black and white. Next two people are fighting in a red-hot environment, Then too A head shot of a figure swinging back with bright blue eyes, which is Framebreeze.
Here is where Chaney kicks in to psych Paul as he puts a slam dunk into the floor. It gets him ready to try riding the sandworm we’ve already described above. In this footage, though, scenes of Paul running, jumping, and pinning the worm are intercut as he talks to Stilgar, played by Javier Bardem. It’s a framen Commander develops a relationship with Paul. Stilgar tells Paul not to try anything impressive. Being simple and direct. Don’t try anything fancy. Paul gives him a little smile, knowing he wouldn’t follow any of that advice. He’s going to show boat, and he does.
After Paul hits the sandworm, we see a shot of dozens of Thopters flying, another shot of two people fighting in black and white, a kiss between Paul and Chani, and finally a shot of Paul walking to the top of a ridge and the hundreds of people below him. He throws his fist in the air and they all cheer. This is permission quickly It’s intercut with a darkly silhouetted scene of two people getting ready for a knife fight, presumably Paul and Fede Rotha.
“Fury Will Rise” is shown on screen earlier in the trailer, as well as brief shots of Josh Brolin as Journey Halleck, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Lea Seydoux as Lady Margot, and Dave Bautista as Glosso Rabanne. Essentially, as Villeneuve said in the presentation, this is “more work-An epic war movie packed” from the first movie. And despite taking place on the same planet, they didn’t revisit a single location or location in the entire shoot. Everything was new.
Oh, and Dune: Part Two Shot entirely in IMAX (that was only true for less than half first movie). You can see it for yourself on November 3, We expect to see This trailer for later this summer.
