TikTok is working on a feature that will create AI-generated profile pictures, according to a social media advisor Navarra diedwho shared photos and videos of the gadget with the edge. At first glance, the tool generates header avatars much like what you might see from Prisma Labs’ Lensa app, but since it will be integrated directly into TikTok, you may soon see more AI-designed avatars. Scroll through your feed.

Here’s how it works. The tool asks you to submit three to ten photos and then choose from two to five different styles for the final images made by the AI, Navarra says. Once you do that, it takes a while for the images to actually be generated. When they’re ready, you can download them, set one as your avatar, or post one to your TikTok story.

Examples shared by Navarra the edge And on Twitter Pretty good, and covered a wide range of fun styles. I can see a a lot of people tinkering with this tool to create creative avatars of themselves – like they did with Lensa.

TikTok did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
