- Samsung has finally made the Galaxy Enhance-X app available on its devices.
- The AI-powered photo editing app is now accessible on the Galaxy S23 series in beta form.
- Samsung will also release the app on the Galaxy S22 and S21 lineup at a later date.
Last year, Samsung released an AI-powered photo-editing app to enhance your Galaxy photos, though it mysteriously disappeared from the devices where it was originally available. The company is now relaunching Galaxy Enhance-X, and it’s coming first to the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
Samsung Community Forum moderator (Opens in a new tab) announced the launch of the app on the latest and greatest Galaxy phones, although it is still in beta. However, the South Korean tech giant plans to roll out a full version for both the Galaxy S23 and S22 models in the future.
According to SamMobile (Opens in a new tab)The app disappeared from Galaxy S22 devices shortly after its release in July last year. Samsung gave no explanation for its removal, but the company appears to have fixed the issue.
However, while the app is being re-released, it will not be immediately available on Galaxy S22 models. The app is said to require high-end hardware, which explains why it’s limited to the Galaxy S23 series only for now.
Samsung’s moderator did not specify any specific date, and only indicated that the application will make its way to the Galaxy S22 phones soon.
In addition to the 2022 flagship phones, the Galaxy Enhance-X will be available on the Galaxy S21 series and several Galaxy A models as well. That’s par for the course, given that Samsung noted last year that the app was compatible with Galaxy phones running Android 10 or higher. It is also expected to arrive in the entry-level M series and F series running One UI 2.5, 3.0, 4.0 and 4.5.
Using artificial intelligence algorithms, the application automatically optimizes camera settings and adjusts various image parameters, such as brightness, contrast, and color saturation, to improve the clarity and vividness of images. The app also offers many filters and effects to improve the visual appearance of the photos.
Despite its compact size, Samsung’s latest high-end smartphone packs a powerful punch with its upgraded Snapdragon chip and larger battery that provides extended playtime. While the color options may be lackluster, if you can overlook that, this device could be an ideal choice for those looking for a smaller Android phone.
